Cow Close Barn is a luxury self catering cottage set in a peaceful location amidst splendid, open countryside in the small hamlet of Hartwith, between Harrogate and Pateley Bridge. It is in an ideal position for visiting the Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate, Ripon and Pateley Bridge.
The Barn is a conversion of a 150 year old stone barn providing spacious self-catering accommodation for up to six people. Overlooking the owners’ farmland and woods and commanding splendid views of Nidderdale, the barn offers a high quality of comfort while retaining a wealth of character.
There is a large garden adjoining the property with easy chairs; ample parking is available. Shops, Post Office and good Pubs serving delicious food are all within 3 miles.
Saving the environment
The owners are particularly interested in reducing their consumption of fossil fuels by using their own alternative energy sources.
Most of the electricity on the farm comes from our own solar panels and wind turbine, but we are connected to the National Grid to ensure continuous supply.
A very efficient biomass boiler produces heat for the house, our own cottage and one belonging to a neighbour.
So whether you want a Summer Holiday where you can enjoy a barbecue and relax in the peace and sunshine , a walking holiday many of which start at the doorstep or a winter break where you know that you can come back to somewhere comfortable, warm and cosy then "Cow Close Barn" is the ideal choice.
